🐾 Molly & Lady’s Story

These two pups were found wandering together after being dumped in the area — scared, uncertain, but completely devoted to one another. When finally caught after 2 weeks, it was clear they shared a deep bond. They were named Lady and Molly.  

Lady was always gently watching over Molly, and Molly found comfort simply being by Lady’s side.

As we began their medical evaluations, we received devastating news — Molly tested positive for distemper. Despite immediate veterinary care and every effort to save her, the virus had already taken hold.

Through it all, Lady never left her side.

Molly ultimately lost her battle to distemper, but she did not pass unloved or alone. She knew warmth, safety, and compassion in her final days.

Lady stayed behind — grieving, adjusting, and slowly learning to move forward without her best friend.

Molly’s life mattered. Their bond mattered. And their story reminds us why rescue work is so important — because even a short time filled with love is better than a lifetime without it. 🐾
